First Trip to the Dentist

So we found the BEST dentist in the world for the Kids a few days ago. He is in Peoria and we LOVE him!!! Kolsen and Callie were so excited to go and get their teeth cleaned and get a check up. They both did fabulous and had so much fun. When I asked them what their favorite part was they both said "The rides in the chair". The doctor saw that Kolsen was really interested in the buttons on the chair so he showed them how they all work and let him try them all out. It was like a roller coaster to him! Callie was a little nervous at first but the assistant she got was perfect for her. She was so sweet and she turned her around and showed her all the instruments and how they worked and gave them all funny names. Like the "Tickle tooth brush". She also let callie hold this flavored mouth spray that she loved as a bribe. It was so much fun and I know that not many people can say that about a dentist apt. If anyone needs a good pediatric dentist. Let me know!!

Kolsen's teeth looked great. He only had a small cavity on his lower tooth because he grinds his teeth but other than that his were perfect.

My little Callie on the other hand...Is missing one of her permanent teeth. When we took this picture it showed 3 front teeth forming under the gums but the other front tooth was no where to be found. So she will be missing her very front tooth her whole life. There is a lot that can be done but I am still praying that it just comes late.

Over all it was a great trip and a very good experience for the kids. They are already asking to go back.

Kolsen's New Adenture!!!

Well here is our newest Bike Rider. Jason and I took him out to try a few days ago and he wanted to learn but was a little nervous. Jason worked with him for about an hour and we could tell he was done. So we went inside. Then later that day I took him out again and thought we would give it another shot. He started to get the hang of it but he would pedal a few times and just stop pedaling and give up. I couldn't get him to understand that if he would keep pedaling he would stay up. After a few min of trying our neighbor Jeremy (who Kolsen adores!!!) came out to see if he could help. He tried a few times too and gave me a great idea. There is an empty field around the corner from our house where kids will go to ride bikes and jump the dirt mounds. He told me to take him there and show him what he could do when he learned and that it would get him excited about doing it. It totally worked! When we got back he got on that bike, told me he could do it by himself and took off. It was so awesome! He has been doing great ever since! In the video you can tell he is so proud of what he accomplished and now when ever he can't do something he says "Oh yeah..I just have to keep trying and not give up!" He learned a great lesson that day. I LOVE this little guy so much and it has been so much fun to watch him grow! I LOVE being a mom!!!

Callie was feeling a little left out and kept saying "Mom tape me!" So here is my little callie and her little bike! Now for her birthday all she wants is a Rapunzel bike. I think he got her excited too!
