Christmas Eve

One of my family traditions is to have a big fancy Christmas Eve dinner and open one present. The present is always PJ's for the kids and an ornament for the adults. It was very special too this year because Alan and Debbie were able to come over and share it with us. We are so spoiled and blessed that both of our families get along so well and we can share in special days together. It was so fun and the kids had a blast!

Kolsen wanted to wear them on his head. He also got some "Cars" slippers that he has not taken off yet and it is two days later. Crazy boy. He loves them and when he walks he makes the car noise. It is too cute!

Christmas!

I hope everyone had as much fun on Christmas as we did. Kolsen loved opening his gifts and we really enjoyed spending time with our families. Here are just a few pictures because we did mostly videos.

Jason got some clothes, Rollerblades, jerky, pistachios, and some work out equipment.

I got the bathroom set that I have wanted forever, Some kitchen rugs and decor and an Ipod. Also on Saturday we are painting our bathroom so when that is all done I will put up some pictures. I love it!!'

We had to much fun with Kolsen and videos that we didn't take any stills. So here is a video of one of his favorite gifts. He also got some clothes and lots more toys from our families.

A name for our little Girl!

As you probably noticed I have started a poll on the right to help us decide how to spell our little girls name. We are torn and there are so many ways to spell it so let us know what you think.
Other than that we are doing well and are getting so excited for Christmas. We have put our wrapped Christmas presents out under the tree and Kolsen keeps bringing them to me and shaking his head "yes" meaning he wants to open them but never does. Then when I tell him to go put it back he has to push it as far under the tree as he can. It is really cute to watch. I know he will have a blast opening them on Christmas morning. We also get to talk to Tanner. It is always fun to talk to our missionary's and this will be his 6 month mark which is crazy. It is going so fast. Well, I hope everyone is doing good and Santa brings you some good stuff this year. Have a MERRY CHRISTMAS and I will post again in a few days after the family time has settled down!

Flemming Christmas Party

We had a family Christmas party last Monday night where a special guest showed up. It was a lot of fun to see all of our family and to read some beautiful Christmas stories, but the funniest thing was to watch Kolsen on Santa's lap. We stood at the front of the stage and let him watch the kids sit on him to show him that it was fun and he seemed really excited and kept saying "Santa" so we decided to give it a try. As you can see he was not to sure what to think about the big man in red. The picture below was the first sighting.

This cute picture was Kolsen sneaking away to go play with the water jug you can see in the background. He liked that more than eating all the good food. I love it cause you can see the sneaky look in his eye.
And finally daddy trying to make me smile for the camera. Say Cheese!!!

Shower #2

Well, we are all done with the shower's for Kim. The second friend and ward shower was on Saturday and it was tons of fun. She had a really good turn out and got lots of good stuff for her kitchen. I was helping with gifts so I didn't get any pictures of them but I got a few of the pre shower stuff. This is the towel cake I did for her. Her colors turned out beautiful!!!

The yummy food!

Kim and her high school friends. These are some amazing girls. We passed advise cards around and the things these girls had to say was so insightful! I am glad Kim has friends like this!

We also found some beautiful roses that matched perfectly with our colors. I love Costco roses!!!

Kim's Family Shower

THE GIRLS:

We had the first of Kim's showers on Saturday. It was a family shower thrown by Debbie Davis and Emily Kealer. It was a lot of fun and she and Cameron got a lot of good stuff. Thank you so much for all of those who came. I know it meant a lot to them that you were there. Here are some pictures:

Table Decorations

Some of their gifts (I love the picture of Christ)

"Family Shot" from the right: Me, Kim, Mom, Heather, Rachel

THE BOYS:
And while we were having the shower this is what the men were doing. The picture says it all. Kolsen got to shoot the gun and still came back ALIVE with only 1 scratch on his hand which is good. Jason said he kept the ear things on the whole time and loved it. I think they had too much fun!!!

IT'S A GIRL!!! IT'S A GIRL!!!

Well, we went to the doctor on Wednesday and found out that Kolsen is getting a little sister. We are so excited and can't wait to meet her. I have had a feeling that it would be a girl but I wasn't as sure with this one as I was with Kolsen. But it was clear as day on the ultra sound. She is doing good and is right on schedule for her size and is kicking away now. This is the fun part when you are over all the sickness, start to feel them move, and aren't too big to be uncomfortable yet. So I need to enjoy it while it lasts. I am also so ridiculous because it has only been 2 days of knowing and I have already bought her crib bedding set and know how I am painting her room. (Can you tell I am excited for a girl???) Here is the set the I got on eBay(which I love) for less than $90 for all 14 pieces. I got everything in the picture except the mobile. I thought it was too good of a deal to pass up. Tell me what you think.

And finally here is a belly shot of me at 20 weeks. Yeah, I have hit the 1/2 way mark! The good thing is that I have only gained 1lb. from my starting weight cause I lost so much in the beginning. But I am sure it is coming. This little girl has already shown that she will be much more high maintenance than Kolsen. Anyway, I hope everyone had a good weekend!

IT's BegiNning tO LoOk A lOt liKe ChriStmAs!!!

You know he is thinking "I really want to touch that"

We got our decorations and tree up early this year and Kolsen did such a good job. He didn't get that we needed to hang the ornaments and not play with them at first, but he came around. He also found one of mine that is a train and wanted to drive it all over the tree. It was to cute so we got a little video of it. It won't post right now but I will try again later. Hope everyone is having a good time getting ready for Christmas.

Our lights twinkle so a good picture was hard to get

WhAt A WeeKenD!!!

Well, I hope everyone had as much fun as us this weekend. It was packed full of fun family activities and lots of food. Our Thanksgiving day was a blast. We went to the Davis side for lunch and then to my side later that day for dinner. It was a lot of fun with a lot of good food but the bad part was Kolsen got sick about 2:00 with a fever and didn't feel good the rest of the day. The good thing was he got to sleep most of the evening at my parents house and the next day he was much better. It was a weird 12 hr thing and he is fine now.

Then on Friday Jason got the day off and we got to do our Christmas decorations and we got our Christmas gift early. We got our selves a garage door opener and can actually use our garage now. It is amazing what a difference pushing a little button does for my lazy self. Anyway, our house looks so nice and I am so in the Christmas mood now. There is something so special about this time of the year when we get to think about Christ's birth and life and then wonderful things he has done for us. You can see it fill the air and everyone is a little happier than usual.

Saturday was also a big day for our family. Heather and Spencer went through the temple to be sealed together and to Lexi for All Eternity. What a special miracle that is. They are such a sweet family and I am so glad that they are in my life and have made the wonderful choice to go to the temple and receive all the blessing that come with that. I love them very much and can't wait to see what is in store for their family. When they get the pictures back I will steel some and post them. Since then our life has slowed down a little and is starting to get back to normal.

Oh yeah and I also did my hair different. I have been in kind of a funk and been really down on my self lately. I don't know if it is the hormones or what but I just needed a change to liven things up again so I decided to dye my hair. Heather and I decided that I should go darker and I absolutely love it. It is a Reddish brown color with Blond highlights and Heather did an amazing job. I am so spoiled to have her in my family and to get to take advantage of her whenever I want. She is amazing with hair and I will never go to anyone else!!! LOVE YOU HEATHER!!

And last the belly bump has finally come. I am about 18 weeks now and we can find out what it is in the next few weeks, I am sooooooo excited. I still have no idea what it is but we will be happy with whatever come. Stay tuned to find out!

STICKY FOODS ARE SO MUCH FUN!!!

OK, SO ON SUNDAY WE GOT UP EARLY AND HAD A WONDERFUL BREAKFAST OF GERMAN PANCAKES AND EVERYONE LOVED THEM. ESPECIALLY OUR SON. HE IS LEARNING HOW TO USE HIS UTENSILS AND IS DOING REALLY GOOD, BUT I THINK HE GOT A LITTLE TO EXCITED THIS TIME AND MAD A HUGE MESS WITH THE SYRUP. AFTER A FEW MINUETS OF BEING MESSY WE LOOKED OVER AT HIM CAUSE HE WAS GIGGLING AND THIS IS WHAT WE FOUND. HE HAD STUCK THE SPOON TO HIS NOSE AND IT STAYED. JASON AND I LOST IT. WE PROBABLY JUST TAUGHT HIM THAT IT IS FUNNY TO PLAY WITH FOOD, BUT IT WAS TO HILARIOUS NOT TO LAUGH. NEEDLESS TO SAY IT WAS BATH TIME AFTER THAT. I LOVE HAVING KIDS.

The many costumes of Jason

Jason had a Halloween party for work and he wanted to do something fun so he bought a bunch of makeup and went to town on his face. The picture doesn't do it justice, but you can still get the effect. It was very scary and hard to recognise him. Kolsen didn't know what to do when he saw him and came running to me. After he said something it was OK and he just kept pointing at him and looking at me. Then I called Jessica to come over and look and they couldn't stay for very long because every time kernan looked at Jase he would start crying. It was sad but funny.

Then he went in Alan's costume for trick or treating later that night. We should have gotten more pictures of it but we didn't. He would let the kids sit on it so it looked like they were going potty. We got a lot of funny comments as we were walking.

It took me long enough!!!

Here are some trick or treating pictures.
My Little Pirate. He didn't get the whole trick or treating thing. He was so excited to go for a walk with everyone that he just grabbed the first piece of candy our neighbors dropped in his bucket and ran out ahead of everyone giggling the whole way. It was cute.
The gang from the right: Lexi, Kolsen, Chase, Mallory, and Clark
Yummy sticky suckers!!! We didn't hear a peep out of these two for a while.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN

Happy Halloween everyone!!! I hope you all are having as much fun as we are. We just carved our pumpkin tonight and Jason did an awesome job. He is so creative and did all of that free hand. I am OK if I have a pattern to follow but Jason did that all on his own. Amazing huh!!! Good job Hun!!! I know you can't see it very well, but the Head stone on the left has Kolsen's name on it too. It was hard to get a good angle on it. Kolsen also had a good time. We let him carve a little (WITH SUPERVISION) and he thought that was the greatest thing ever. There is a video of it at the end. He definitely did not like cleaning it though. He would not touch the yucky stuff inside the pumpkin. It was hilarious. We tried to get him to put his hand in it and he screamed. Then Jason put some on his hand and he violently shook it until it fell off and then GLARED at us like "What did you do that for". If you have not seen his mad face it is so funny. He gives the nastiest looks sometimes. I wish I could have gotten it on camera. Anyway, here are our pictures and I am sure we will have tons more after tomorrow.

I NEVER WANT TO PAY RENT

Target had the cutest shirts on sale and we couldn't pass this one up.

Baby CLARK is Here!!!

This is the newest addition to the Kurtzeborn family. His name is Clark and he is the cutest little guy ever. He was born on Thursday and was 7lb 9oz. He is healthy and him and mom are doing great! Here are some of the pictures that we took of him in the hospital. Congratulations you guys! He is beautiful and we can't wait to see him again. It is funny cause I always thought Kolsen was small until he was standing next to him. Now he looks huge.
Holly looked beautiful as always!! I wish I looked that good after just giving birth!
Baby Clark and his aunties
Kolsen was really interested in him and couldn't stop looking. I don't think he knew what it was but he was very gentle. Which is a good sign of things to come. Hopefully!!!
