Family pictures

So I had an idea the other day of a picture I wanted to do and Rachel was up for it, so here they are. I am going to get them printed in 8x10's and frame them in black frames right next to each other. We will see how it turns out.

Since we were taking pictures I decided to do family pictures too. Here are some cute ones. Thanks Rachel!!! I love the way they turned out!!!

Family Vacation

So since Tanner came home and we were all together Alan and Debbie took us on a family vacation. We Left on Wed and drove to California. We stayed in an awesome hotel called "The Welks Resort." It was beautiful! There was so much stuff to do there. They had Golf, a theatre with it's own shows, swimming pools with rock water slides, and so much more. Then on Thursday we went to sea world and had a relaxing rest of the week. It was a blast.

This is probably my favorite picture from the trip. We had been playing games and Tanner had just won the ring toss and got a huge bear (LUCKY). Kolsen wanted to win something and most of the people had left, so we asked the guy at one of the booths if he could play and he said that he would let him and Chase play and they would each win something. Kolsen was so excited to win a game and he hasn't put it down since. It even sleeps with him.

The little one's did so good at the park sitting in their strollers that we thought it would be fun to let them do some rides too.

Here is Callie's reaction to Shamu. This is the only time she sat down. She got so excited to see him and would jump up on my lap and point and say OHH. I think she liked it more than Kolsen did.

Kim's Shower

Congrats Kim!!! My sister is having her first baby next month so we threw her a baby shower. It was so much fun and she got some really good gifts. She is so excited about her little one and we can't wait to meet him. Love Ya Kim!

Welcome Home Tanner!!!

Our brother got home from his mission to Thailand on May 30Th. We are sooooo glad to have him back and have everyone together again. It has been 4 years since we have all been together. Holly and Craig and their kids came down too so we got to spend a couple weeks with them. We had so much fun and Tanner did really good at adjusting back to normal. He was pretty shell shocked at first but he is awesome now! We love you tanner and are so glad that you are home with us and are so proud of all that you have accomplished!

Funny story:
When tanner left Kolsen was 1 year old. So we had been talking and telling kolsen that he was going to come home, showing him pictures and getting him really excited. So when he saw him he went running over to him. Tanner picked him up not really knowing who he was yet and Kolsen leaned in to give him a kiss. Tanner held him out straight in front of him and said "What is he doing?" I said "Tanner that's Kolsen and he wants to give you a kiss" So he let him kiss him on the cheek and then held him straight out again and looked at me like what do I do now. I finally said "Tanner you can put him down." So he did and we all started laughing. It was so funny!!! You could tell he was so overwhelmed with everything.

"Who are all these kids?" He had never met Callie or Clark so this was there first meeting.

Happy Mother's Day!!!

I want to wish a Happy Mother Day to all the beautiful Moms out there. I love when Mother's Day comes around because it makes me stop and think about all the wonderful women that surround me everyday. I take them for granted sometimes but I want them to know that I love them very much and I am so glad that YOU are in my life. First there is:

You are such a beautiful and wonderful person and you are my best friend. I love you and you have been such a wonderful example to me through out the years. I am so glad that I have had you as my mom and love the fact the my children now get to grow up with you as their grandmother. I have learned so much from watching you and I LOVE YOU and appreciate all that you do for us. I also love that you are always there with a listening ear for me. You have served our family so much these last few months and I don't know if we could have gotten through without you, dad and your support. THANK YOU!

I can't tell you how much I have LOVED being a part of your family. You and Alan are some of the most amazing, kind, and generous people I have ever met and I try to follow your example every day. You have been a wonderful mom to Jason and I love that you treat me as your daughter. I feel very close to you and I am so excited that we can grow closer together as the years go on. Thank you for all that you do for our family and for being such an amazing mom.

I am also surrounded by wonderful grandmothers, sister, friends, aunts, cousins, and many other women who have touched my life. Thank you and HAPPY MOTHER"s DAY!!!

"It's My CAR Birthday"

That is all Kolsen has said for the last few weeks. He has been adamant about having a car on his birthday cake. So we granted him his wish. He loved it and we had a really fun night at his little party. He also got a brand new big boy bike that he loves!!! It was so cute too because the next morning when he got up he came right into my room and said "I go ride my Rocket bike!" It made me feel so good that he liked it as much as I hope he would. He also got lots of other fun gifts too. Thank you so much to our family and friends who came and made it a wonderful night.

It's A Boy


3 Years ago today we were blessed to have Kolsen. I absolutely love my little boy! He is such an amazing, fun, energetic, loving, and crazy kid. He keeps me on my toes and teaches me so much every day. I am so glad that he is in my life and that he came to our family. I am excited to watch him grow and learn in the years to come and will LOVE everyday! We love you Kolsen and wish you a HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Last Easter

Happy Easter!

"Not a great picture, but it's the best I could do with two kids and a husband that did not want to take pictures!"

Easter was pretty low key this year. We went over to my grandparents house with the Richardson side and had a big Easter egg hunt and dyed eggs. Kolsen lasted about two seconds then was off running with his cousins again. Of course the day we want to play outside it was extremely windy and cold. (Well, cold for me but if it is below 80 I am cold so I guess that doesn't count). You can see Callie's hair is funny at the bottom. We had a lot of fun! On Easter morning this is what they found in there Easter baskets along with some fun candy. They loved them and still play with them.

Callie's Birthday Party

She had so much fun at her little birthday party. She got some really cute clothes and some fun toys from everyone. She also had a lot of help from her older brother. He could not stand it that she wasn't opening the gifts as fast as he could so he decided that he would just do it for her. She was more interested in eating the paper anyway! Thanks everyone who came for making it such a fun night and for all the gifts! We missed you Kurtzeborn's!!! We love you and are so excited to see ya soon!



Then she had a blast eating her cake. Her first cake eating experience was so much different from Kolsen. I remember he didn't really like to be dirty and hardly at any of his cake. But man did Callie LOVE it. I almost took it away because she was going to eat the whole thing. She dug in and wanted to share with everyone.

Happy Birthday To You!!!

So my little sweet Callie had her 1st Birthday last Saturday. I can't believe she is already one! It has been such an adventure watching her grow and her little or (BIG) personality develop. Jason and I love her so much and I am so glad that she choose to come to our family. She has brought so much joy and excitement into our home and I love her more everyday! Happy Birthday Callie.
