HAPPY BIRTHDAY JASE!!!

I wish everyone could know how lucky I am to be married to this guy. Jason is the best thing that has or ever will happen to me. I love him more and more everyday and I am so glad that he is stuck with me forever. He is kind, generous, loving, firm, trustworthy, funny, easy going, HANDSOME!!!, treats me better than I ever could have dreamed, and is my best friend. I LOVE you Jase and I want to wish you a
HAPPY 26Th BIRTHDAY!!!
Just so you know, he is the worst sport about picture taking in the world so these pictures are all I have of him by himself. Every other picture you see of him he has taken because I forced him to take a picture with our family. Hopefully that will get better someday!!!

High School Reunion/ Bridal Shower

Let me just tell you how much I LOVE these girls. These are all my best friends from high school that I have missed sooooo much. We all got back together again for Pam's Bridal shower. (Pam is in the Yellow) We has a blast and it was so much fun to catch up with all of them. From the left we have: Claudia, Jody, Pam, Me, Amber, and Chelsey.

Here is one of the games we played. It is called TP wedding dress. Pretty self explanatory. It was so much fun and all the dresses turned out great.

Here was the winning dress!!! Yeah for our team! The girls that did me were great. I had a Veil, a pearl necklace, a huge ring, matching shoes, a bouquet, and a beautiful dress with matching detail work on the front and a long train on the back. We didn't get a good picture of it all, but it looked pretty good! It was also a blast to do.

I thought this was hilarious!!

Claudia (Middle) is one of my best friends and will always be. We met in 4th grade and have been together ever since. She is the most awesome person and I look up to her so much! Love you Claudia!

Pam's younger sister Kim made up the cutest Jeopardy game for her. Pam did really good, but she did have to eat a few pieces.

My lovely Pam eating her GUM for getting the questions wrong!

Here are all the girls again. From the left" Amber, Chelsey, Me, Jody, Pam, Brittany, Shondra, Claudia and Kim.
Thanks so much for a great party girls!!! I had so much fun and can't wait to see you all at the wedding! We will miss you amber. Have fun on your island!

The Follow up

So Picking Kolsen up after his first day of school was an ordeal! Lets just say that I am so glad that day is over and now I can look back at it and laugh. It wasn't a good day for anyone. Here is how the picking up went:

I get there early because I am anxious to see if they lost my child at recess or he ran off because they made him sit still, to find a very very crowded hallway with parents thinking the same thing I was. They finally open the door for the parents and we go in. I look around and notice that Kolsen is holding hands with a bunch of kids. I didn't think anything of it until I hear them say "Ok lets go get on the bus". At which point I about fainted. I told them that I was hear to pick him up and they said "Oh let me check, Yeah your right. He isn't on our bus route. Good thing you were here or we would have taken him out to the bus." So now I am really freaking out because they almost lost my kid! So I say "Kolsen you can come with me" and he starts yelling "No mom, I go on the bus" You can imagine how excited he was to hear the he got to ride the bus home!!! Not so good for me who now has to tell him that he can't. I say again that it is time to go and he can ride the bus another time. (And I see the fit coming) The only thing I can think to do at this point is BRIBE AWAY! I know horrible mother. But after the emotional breakdown earlier I couldn't take a fit today. So After he had said several times that he doesn't want to go home with me and that he wants to ride the bus, I tell him that I got him a treat at home for being such a big school boy. It works and I sign him out. Then as everyone else leaves I have a few questions for the teacher who I am not sure about yet. I ask him my questions and he makes me feel like a total idiot. So after the second question and another rude answer I am done and leave the class with my son bolting for the bus. Anyway, we got home fine and walk in the door and Kolsen starts Bawling. I have no idea why, He didn't hit anything, He won't say anything, and he is starting to pee his pants. I finally get him to the potty and calmed down enough to find out that he missed me at school and wants me to come to his class tomorrow. That made me feel so much better after hearing that he didn't want to come home with me! I know it was just all the emotions he was feeling coming out. The poor guy had been through a lot of new experiences that day! After I got him cleaned up and calmed down we had lunch and everyone went down for naps. And I flopped down on the couch and turned on the TV and didn't move until nap was over. WHAT A DAY!!!! I am glad it is over.

The rest of the week has gone so much better and Kolsen loves his class and his new friends. I am still not sure if I like the teacher yet, but I am going to give him the rest of the week to get settled and then form an opinion. I am hopping he is just distracted because it is the first week. He was still rude today, but at least his assistants are AWESOME with the kids. I love them! Anyway, that was my venting and now I feel better! Thanks for listening!

First Day of School Ever!!!

Not only was it the first day of school for Kolsen, it was the first day for Jason and I to send a kid to school. So it was a first for everyone. He is going to preschool at the Dysart school district so not only is it his first day of school it is an actual school and classroom setting. It felt like the first day of kindergarten even though he is only 3. Which I think is still so little to be in school. But I think he will love it and have a blast. He is such a social boy.

I am not doing so well. I had a breakdown on the way home and have been a wreck ever since. I am sure it is normal, but it is so hard to turn your sweet little boy over to someone you meet for 5 min the day before. I also have to trust them that they will keep my little guy safe. Let me just say I can't tell you how many times I have prayed today already!!! I know Heavenly Father will protect him!

He was so excited this morning that when he woke up, he came out with his backpack on and didn't take it off until we had to get in the car. It was so cute! He also kept saying "I go to school like daddy" So we had to take a "School Boys" shot. I can't tell you how much I love seeing Kolsen look up to his daddy. It doesn't get better than that!

With all his school stuff! He looks so big!

Callie didn't like being left out and wanted a picture with her brother. She tried to jump in every picture we took.

My sweet little boy was pictured out when I got him!

Waiting to go into the classroom

After he hung up his backpack all of his attention was gone. This is the best I could do. There was just to much to look at.

And with that it was time to say good Bye. Even now typing I am tearing up. I can't believe how fast time flies. I love Kolsen so much and am so proud of him. He is the JOY of my life and I know he will do great!

SASSY!!!

So this shirt totally describes Callie's attitude right now. She has been so much fun and she is happy all the time now, but she is learning how things work. She will go into Kolsen's room and pester him or take a toy away from him until he yells at her. So then I will hear him yelling and get him in trouble for yelling and look at Callie to see this expression on her face "What mom, is wasn't me!" So now I really have to watch to see if it's Kolsen being mean or if Callie is pestering him until he can't take it. The joy's of more than one kid!!!

BOYS / GIRLS NIGHT

SO THIS IS WHAT THE BOYS DID...

They got to go see the Monster truck show on Saturday night with some friends of ours. They had so much fun and Kolsen and Bode loved it!!! Thanks Jer for getting tickets! My mistake was that we told Kolsen about a week ahead of time because I was so excited for him to get to go..which we won't do again! Every hour every day after that he would ask me if it was Saturday yet. I was happy he was so excited but I thought my ears were going to fall of if I heard the word Monster Trucks again by the end of the week. It was also way cute because on Saturday I wanted to get him excited to go so I got on You Tube and found a video of the trucks and he watched it over and over and said "I take a picture of this to show daddy" So I gave him the camera:

Here the boys are with the trucks. They got a pit pass to go down on the course and see them. It was pretty muddy so that is why Jason is holding Kolsen so funny in the other pictures.

Here is one of Kolsen's favorites. It looked like a dinosaur

This is what he got to pick out at the concessions. He hasn't stopped playing with it.

AND HERE IS WHAT THE GIRLS DID...

"HOBBY LOBBY" ALL THE WAY. I LOVE THIS STORE BUT I NEVER GET TO GO, SO WE MADE A TRIP OF IT WITH MY MOM AND SISTER. IT WAS A BLAST! WE FOUND SOME FUN THINGS AND RACHEL GOT A LITTLE CAMERA HAPPY ALONG THE WAY SO HERE IS OUR ADVENTURE.

CALLIE IS SUCH A LITTLE GIRL AND TOTALLY POSED FOR THE CAMERA WHEN WE PUT THESE ON HER.

RACHEL WANTED SOME TOO

YUM! WHAT IF CORN WAS REALLY THIS BIG???

WHAT MORE NEEDS TO BE SAID?

OK I LOVED THIS PICTURE AND TOLD RACHEL SHE NEEDED TO FRAME IT UNTIL...... I LOOKED AT THE EYES ON HER SHIRT. IT LOOKS LIKE THEY ARE THINKING "WHAT IS ON MY HEAD?" THEN I GOT A LITTLE FREAKED OUT AND NOW THAT IS ALL I SEE...

WE WENT TO A FEW OTHER STORES AND CALLIE WAS STARTING TO GET FUSSY BECAUSE WE WERE DRAGGING HER EVERYWHERE SO WE DECIDED TO DO SOMETHING FUN FOR HER. SO WE WENT TO HER TWO MOST FAVORITE THINGS RIGHT NOW. FIRST WAS THE PET STORE. SHE IS SOOOOO OBSESSED WITH FISH OR "SHISHY". KOLSEN HAS A FAKE FISH TANK ON HIS DRESSER AND EVERY TIME IT IS ON SHE STANDS THERE AND SAYS "SHISH, SHISH, SHISH... OVER AND OVER UNTIL YOU TURN IT OFF AND THEN SHE CRIES. ALSO SHE HAS GONE THROUGH ALL OF THE BOOKS WE HAVE AND EVERY BOOK THAT HAS FISH IN IT (EVEN IF IT IS ONLY ON ONE PAGE) SHE HAS BROUGHT IT TO ME TO PUT ON THE BOOKSHELF IN HER ROOM. SO WE TOOK HER TO THE PET STORE TO LOOK AT THOSE. SHE WAS IN AWE!!! SHE LOVED IT. AND THEN IT WAS ON TO THE BOOK STORE. SHE WOULD SIT IN MY LAP AND READ BOOKS ALL DAY IF I LET HER. IT WAS SUCH A FUN NIGHT WITH MY LITTLE GIRL, MOM AND SISTER AND I AM SURE THE BOYS HAD JUST AS MUCH FUN AS WE DID.
