Kolsen's New Adenture!!!

Well here is our newest Bike Rider. Jason and I took him out to try a few days ago and he wanted to learn but was a little nervous. Jason worked with him for about an hour and we could tell he was done. So we went inside. Then later that day I took him out again and thought we would give it another shot. He started to get the hang of it but he would pedal a few times and just stop pedaling and give up. I couldn't get him to understand that if he would keep pedaling he would stay up. After a few min of trying our neighbor Jeremy (who Kolsen adores!!!) came out to see if he could help. He tried a few times too and gave me a great idea. There is an empty field around the corner from our house where kids will go to ride bikes and jump the dirt mounds. He told me to take him there and show him what he could do when he learned and that it would get him excited about doing it. It totally worked! When we got back he got on that bike, told me he could do it by himself and took off. It was so awesome! He has been doing great ever since! In the video you can tell he is so proud of what he accomplished and now when ever he can't do something he says "Oh yeah..I just have to keep trying and not give up!" He learned a great lesson that day. I LOVE this little guy so much and it has been so much fun to watch him grow! I LOVE being a mom!!!

Callie was feeling a little left out and kept saying "Mom tape me!" So here is my little callie and her little bike! Now for her birthday all she wants is a Rapunzel bike. I think he got her excited too!

Christmas 2010

We had a great Christmas this year. We got to spend lots of time with our family and relax and enjoy the day. We are so grateful for all of our blessings and the wonderful people we have in our lives. We got to go to Jason's family on Christmas Eve and spend time with them.

Debbie and Alan bought Kim and I these cute jackets but no matter how we took the picture it came out like this. We look like super hero's or something! Kinda Cool looking!

Christmas Day:

Here are the kids before they got to see their gifts...Dressed in their christmas PJ's

I could not get him to look up for anything!

My beautiful Callie

Callie was so funny because she didn't want to open any gifts until she got a cracker. That girl and her food! Then when we did get to the gifts she would open one that was fun to play with and she was done and didn't care about openning the other presents. Kolsen on the other hand didn't want to stop opening the gifts. He didn't care what was in them he just wanted to open the next. It is so funny how different they are.

Practicing her new curling iron on Grandma.

Kim made this for her. So pretty!

Here are all the cousins (minus Evan) with their reindeer ears! Christmas was so much fun this year! We have such great families and I am so thankful for all we have!!!

Prescott Here We Come!!!

So When we saw all the snow coming we had to get out of town and go play. We headed up north to Prescott. It was so crazy because when we were driving by Jason's Parents house it started to snow and when we hit sunset point we started to get a little worried because it was snowing so hard we couldn't see past a few feet in front of us. I wondered if we would get stuck when we got there. But we kept going. We had to stop at a Walmart when we got to town because living in the valley we don't own boots or snow shoes so we had to get some. When we tried to park, the snow was so high we almost got stuck. After we came out, we saw the best hill ever to play on. So needless to say, we were dorks and went over to play on the big hill in front of the walmart parking lot. But I guess it was better than getting stuck on a mountain road.

Here are some pictures from our adventure.
This was the Walmart Parking Lot

My little snow bundle!

Getting ready to play

Our first big hill

Callie was so funny because she stood in this spot for 15 min and just ate the snow. She didn't want to ride or play. She just wanted to eat it!

And this is the fit afterward because her hands were freezing! She was done after that and just wanted to sit in the car and get warm.

Making our hill bigger

The snow angel men

This was a butt sled that Kolsen absolutely LOVED. He strapped it on and went up and down up and down. He had so much fun! The giggles when he would come down were the best!

Now it is daddy's turn to eat the snow!

This is how cold it was. If you know me at all you know that I do not do the cold very well but this was so much fun. We haven't done a trip like that is a while and it was so good for our family to have fun and get a way for a day. After playing we got changed and went out to lunch and headed back home.

One more funny story: So because we are still potty training Callie, we decided to put her back in a diaper for the day because we knew we would not be near a bathroom. She was not happy with us but she finally gave in. So when we were in the car on the way home. Callie started yelling (With a very upset panicked voice) "Mom I think I am peeing in the car!!!" She forgot she had a diaper on and thought she was going in her pants. It was so funny the way she said it and you could see the terror in her eyes. It gave Jason and I a good laugh all the way home.
