2 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!

CAMERON COMES HOME IN 2 DAYS! WE ARE ALL SO EXCITED AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM AGAIN. HE GOT TO CALL US A FEW NIGHTS AGO AND LET US KNOW THAT ALAN AND DEBBIE GOT THERE OK AND THAT THEY WERE HAVING A GOOD TIME. HE SAID THE ONLY BAD PART FOR OUR PARENTS WAS THAT THEY ARE SO USED TO AZ WHERE EVERYTHING IS OPEN AND SPACIOUS AND OVER THERE WHEN YOU WALK DOWN THE STREET, YOU TOUCH EVERYONE AND IT IS VERY CROWDED. THE BUILDINGS ARE ALSO VERY TALL SO THERE IS NO AIR CIRCULATION AND YOU CAN'T SEE WHERE YOU ARE. I AM SURE THAT WILL TAKE SOME GETTING USE TO BUT OTHER THAN THAT THEY ARE DOING AWESOME AND CAMERON IS READY TO COME HOME. WE ARE SO EXCITED TO SEE THE REACTION HE HAS TO HIS NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE AREA AROUND HIS HOUSE. IT HAS CHANGED SO MUCH AND NOW THEY HAVE PAVEMENT. HOLY COW! WELL, OUR OTHER MISSIONARY IS DOING GOOD TOO. TANNER IS KEEPING BUSY AND WORKING HARD. WELL, AS SOON AS THINGS SETTLE DOWN, I WILL POST PICTURES. I AM SURE I WILL HAVE TONS.

Our family is doing good too. We have had a fun and crazy week because we had our friends foster kids stay with us for 7 days while they went out of town. It was fun to have them, but I think it was a little overwhelming for Kolsen. There was a 3 years old boy, a 4 year old boy, and a 7 year old girl. They were all siblings and were very active. I think is was a shock for him to go from no one to 3 other crazy kids. He had fun though.

For those of you who don't know we have decided to do FOSTER CARE. We feel so good about it and know that it is something we are supposed to be doing right now. We have been in our classes for 8 weeks now and have only 2 left. It has been really good for us and has been a big learning experience. After the courses are over it will take about a month for all the paper work to clear through the state and then hopefully we will get a child. It is an exciting time for us and we know it will be a new adventure. well, I hope everyone is doing good and I thought I would share a couple cute pictures of Kolsen that we took a few Sundays ago.

Jason was ironing his shirt and he wanted his tie back on. I thought this was to cute not to take a picture.

Our Newest Missionary

What a good looking guy!!! Well, my brother in law Tanner left on his mission last week. It was hard to say goodbye but we all know that this is what he is suppose to be doing and are very proud of him for the decisions he has made in his life. I know he will be a wonderful missionary and will bring the gospel to many and will change lives. For those who don't know he is serving in the Bannock, Thailand mission. He will be in the MTC (missionary training center) until September then he will be on his way. We send him our best wished and prayers! We love you Tanner and are so proud of you. Also on the other end, Cameron comes home from his mission in China in 3 weeks. We are so excited to see him again and for him to meet Kolsen. He has done an amazing job and has worked so hard. He will probably sound funny for a while because he has a very thick Chinese accent, but it is cute and very interesting to hear. Well, I hope everyone had a good weekend!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Jason! I want everyone to know what a wonderful guy I married. He is such a good husband. He is always putting me and my needs first, his second and treats me with so much respect. He is also an amazing Dad. Kolsen looks up to him so much already and it is so reassuring to know that if he follows his daddy's example he will be just as wonderful as he is. I love him with all my heart and am so glad that he is
stuck with me for eternity. Thank you Jason for all you do!

I also wanted to tell two very special Dad's in my life how much they mean to me. I have a wonderful dad who has always been there for me and helped me in every way possible to be the person I am today. He is someone I look up to very much and love with all my heart. He is so Strong but knows how to be tenderhearted when we need him to. He also put up with a house full of Girls which is an amazing task it self. He is very aware of us and know the perfect things to say and has been a good priesthood leader in our home. He has taught me to have a true love of the Gospel and has shown me how I should live my life. Thank you Dad. I love you. I also have an amazing Father in law. Alan is such a wonderful person who is loving and an excellent Dad. He has brought his kids up in such a wonderful home and has taught them to be so respectful of everyone and have a true love of the Gospel. Because of that Jason had become a wonderful man and Father and I can see how much he looks up to him. As do I. Thank you Alan for all you do for our family. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD'S!

Just Another Day!

Wow. It has been a while since I have been on here. Just thought I would let you know that we didn't fall of the face of the earth. We are all doing good. Life is pretty normal and not much is happening. We have had some fun trips to the pool, but Kolsen is to crazy so I don't know how much we will go this summer until we get him in swimming lessons. He gets so excited that he will just jump off the edge into the pool if you don't watch him close. Then when he is in the water he doesn't want to be in any toys, cause he wants to be in the water and if you hold him he squirms until you let him go. He doesn't understand that if you do let go he will sink. Funny kid. Anyway, we are so excited for our brother. Tanner will be leaving in a few weeks to go to the MTC and then to Thailand. He is excited but I am sure he is a little nervous. We wish him the best of luck and know that he will be a great missionary.

CAMPING

We took our little boy camping for the first time last weekend. We went with the Mandile's and Joncas's. It was so much fun and Kolsen loved being out doors. The camp site was up about 30 min outside of Payson at Bear canyon lake. It was beautiful and there were some fun quad trails that we got to ride on and it wasn't to far from the lake. We got to do a little fishing also but that wasn't to kid friendly. All the kids wanted to play in the water and run which you couldn't do cause there was no where to go but into the water. We had so much fun though. I think Kolsen's favorite thing to do was ride the quad. He was scared of it when we turned it on but as soon as we put him on that seat he was all smiles. Well, I hope everyone had a good weekend.

I had to carry a stick or a piece of bark where ever I went!

I had to taste the dirt to make sure it was OK to walk on. Yum!

SIX RANDOM THINGS...

Well, I have been tagged so I guess it is my turn to do 6 Random things about me....

1. When I got pregnant with Kolsen I became allergic to my Wedding Ring and I haven't been able to wear it since. My finger breaks out in a rash and itches really bad. We keep meaning to get it coated with something by my uncle who is a jeweler, but never have time. So it looks like we aren't married.
2. I have had Lasik surgery on my eyes. It was the best thing I have ever done! What an amazing feeling to wake up and be able to see right when you open your eyes. I think people take that for granite.

3. I have been sky diving. When I was 19 years old, me and a bunch of my singles ward friends went to the Mirana airport and jumped out of plane's. I went tandem of course, but what an incredible feeling. My landing was a little hard though. You are suppose to tuck your feet up and let the guy run to stop, but my toes caught and I "superman ed" it on the run way. O well, it was hilarious. I would do it again in a heartbeat! I have it on video somewhere, but I can't find it.

4. I like to play with Kolsen's toys more than he does. He has a few toys that he can't figure out so I take them and try to play with them, but he isn't good at sharing yet.

5. I love naps. I don't get them very often but if I get the chance to take a nap you better believe I am going to take one.

6. I hate milk. The only way I can drink milk is if I flavor it with chocolate or something. I am so against it that I pour it in my cereal and when I go to take a bite, I dump the milk it off my spoon. That way my cereal still gets wet but I don't have to taste it.

GOT MILK???

That was fun! Here are some pictures that Jessica took for Kolsen's 1 year pictures. They turned out way cute! The last picture is one of my first scrapbook page that I did for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. Cute huh. Jess helped me.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KOLSEN!!!

I CAN'T BELIEVE MY BABY IS 1YEAR OLD TODAY! TIME FLIES WHEN YOU HAVE KIDS. IT HAS BEEN SO MUCH FUN WATCHING HIM GROW AND LEARN THIS PAST YEAR AND SEEING HIS LITTLE PERSONALITY SHOW THROUGH. WE HAD HIS PARTY YESTERDAY WITH OUR FAMILY. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN AND KOLSEN DID SUCH A GOOD JOB OPENING HIS PRESENTS. IN FACT THE SECOND PICTURE IS WHAT WE HAD TO DO TO KEEP HIM AWAY FROM THEM UNTIL EVERYONE GOT THERE. IT WAS FUNNY BECAUSE WHENEVER HE WOULD OPEN ONE HE WOULD HAVE TO TASTE IT BEFORE WE COULD GO TO THE NEXT. IT WAS CUTE.
JASON AND I ALSO TRIED TO MAKE A CAKE. IT IS A FIRST TIME CAKE SO DON'T MAKE FUN. WE HAD A BLAST DOING IT (WELL, I CAN SAY THAT AFTER THE FACT) BECAUSE EVERYTHING WE DID WENT WRONG, BUT IT TURNED OUT OK. KOLSEN WAS SO FUNNY ABOUT EATING THE CAKE TOO. HE LOVED THE FROSTING, BUT DIDN'T LIKE THE CAKE TO MUCH. I THINK HE LIKED THE PLATE MORE. IT WAS FUN AND WE THOUGHT WE WOULD SHARE THE PIC'S WITH YA. WE ALSO WANTED TO SAY THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO CAME. IT WAS A REALLY FUN NIGHT AND WE ARE GLAD THAT YOU COULD COME AND SHARE THAT WITH US!

THE END RESULT

LOOK WHAT I CAN DO!!!

THESE IMAGES ARE PRETTY SELF EXPLANATORY BUT IF NOT, MY SON HAS NOW FIGURED OUT HOW TO GO THROUGH MY PARENTS DOG DOOR. HE HAS BEEN WATCHING THE DOGS FOR A WHILE AND LIFTING IT UP TO LOOK AT GUS WHEN HE COMES IN, BUT RACHEL FOUND HIM DOING THIS THE OTHER DAY AND GOT SOME FUNNY PICTURES. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE!!!

Liven The Crazy Life!!

This month has been so insane! Has it been that way for anyone else? Well it started with Conference which was wonderful, my birthday, Heather's birthday, then Easter and Jessica Curtis's Farewell all in the first two weeks. Then we had Activity Day, Jason's seminars, and painting our room then next week. Which is still under construction. I hate picking paint because it looks different in different lights. It is hard to match everything!!! Anyway, this was a picture of our family at the farewell. I got a really cute one of Jess and I but I haven't downloaded it yet. The farewell was so good. It was in the singles ward, which was fun to see old friends but hard to deal with a busy baby because it is so quiet. Everyone is single so there are no kids. I forgot how quiet it was. So every time Kolsen made a peep I told him to shush! Jessica was so amazing though. I am so proud of her and all that she has accomplished in her life. I look up to her so much and know she will do amazing things on her mission. You could feel that she was ready to go and has grown so close to the Lord. She Left last Tuesday and is now in the MTC. She will report to Washington, DC in 2 weeks. Good Luck Jess! Well everything else is about normal. Kolsen is cruising now and is walking more than crawling so it has been fun trying to keep up with him. Jason is doing good and might be looking into school soon so we will see where that leads us. Well, that's what is up with us. It is so fun seeing all the birthday pictures and we can't wait to post ours! Happy Birthday everyone!!!

San Fransisco

What a fun weekend! Dr. Johns took our office on a staff trip last weekend. It was awesome. We went to San Fransisco and did a lot of touring. We went to Alcatraz (which is a very creepy and very interesting old prison), Sausalido, Pier 39, Ghirardelli square(the chocolate city...which was under construction) and did some shopping in China town. It was so fun. Dr. Johns spoiled us the entire trip and I think I lost 10 lbs. from laughing so much. To introduce everyone the first picture from the left is: Nancy (the office manager), Amy (assistant), Judi (assistant), Anne (front desk), Dr. J, Tira (assistant), Judy Johns (Wife), and Me
(the favorite). This was at pier 39 where we did a lot of shopping and froze. It was cold and misty at night which we are not use to so we were all freezing. Amy and I roomed together and let me tell you she is hilarious. She is on the right in the picture below. We had so much fun and we stayed up for hours every night goofing off.

This is a picture of us shopping in Sausalido. This was our third day of shopping and it was cold, windy, and there was this fog that made it feel like you were always wet, so you can see why we look so excited to be there. Plus that bench was granite and froze our bums!

This is a picture of the limo that we rode around in. You should have seen us all try to get in and out of that thing everywhere. It was a pretty funny sight. I don't know how people do that in dresses.

And this was Alcatraz. This place was so interesting. We took a ferry over to the island and got to go through and tour it. They gave you your own set of headphones that walked you through and told stories of the prisoners and guards and had the actual people speaking. It was amazing but kind of scary at the same time because of what happened there. Well, It was a good trip, but it was hard to leave my family at home. It was the first time I have ever left Jason and the longest I have left Kolsen so it was so good to see them when we got home. I missed them a lot. I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend as much as I did.

Just an Update

Hello everyone! Isn't my husband beautiful. He is so goofy and loves to pose. Good thing he never looks at our blog or he would kill me for putting this picture up!
Well life in the Davis house hold has been just a little crazy. On Tuesday Kolsen got really sick and we almost took him to the ER. It all started on Sunday. He had a little cough and runny nose over the weekend, which we thought nothing of until the cough turned into a bad wheezing sound and his temperature was in the 102's for several days. We tried the humidifier, Tylenol, and everything else we could think of but nothing was working. Finally on Tuesday morning when his fever hadn't gone down and he was gasping for air I took him into the doctor to get antibiotics or something. Well, they did several test including his blood oxygen levels (which are suppose to be around 98) and his were in the 80's and everything was coming back very low. We had to give him a steroid shot in the bum, which was hard to watch and do some breathing treatments. She wanted me to stay for a few hours to monitor him and she told us that if his levels weren't higher in an hour or so that we would have to take him to the hospital. After 2 hours he started to get a little better and we were able to go home, but we had to give him steroids and breathing treatments for the next several days. The treatments are almost impossible for little boys that don't like to sit still. Anyway, he is doing much better and his breathing is almost back to normal. The only sad thing was that we have some family that moved in over the weekend and are staying in our casita for the next few months and Kolsen couldn't play with the kids because he was very contagious. It was driving him crazy to see them playing outside and he wasn't allowed out. He just sat by the window and would wave to them. It was very cute but sad. Other than that we are doing great. Jason's job is doing really well and we love having our family here.

IT'S A LOVE/HATE RELATIONSHIP

Let me start by saying I love shoes. I don't think you can ever have to many. They come in all shapes and sizes and if I was rich I would have a different pair for every outfit. But let me tell you that with style and looks usually comes pain! I found some cute shoes for Chelsey's Wedding and now even though it is a few days later I think I am going to cut my legs off. They hurt so bad. I also have to confess that it wasn't all the shoes fault. My legs are not in the best shape anymore and after all the dancing, walking, and standing on my tip toes to hug everyone my legs could not take it and they have been screaming at me ever since. Just thought I would vent! The things we do for beauty!!!

WEDDING BELLS ARE IN THE AIR

My best friend Chelsey and her fiance Leiland got married this weekend. The were married in the Mesa, AZ Temple on Friday and they had their reception on Saturday. It was a beautiful ceremony and a gorgeous reception. I got to be a bridesmaid which was a lot of fun too. Chelsey looked absolutely stunning and Leiland was handsome as always. They are such a cute couple and so perfect for each other. I know they will have a wonderful and fun life together. They deserve it! They have a similar story to ours. They dated before he left on his mission and when he got back, they were engaged in 3 days. Same as us. They just did that so they could say that we tied instead of us winning. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

Congrats to my Best Friend!!! I Love Ya!!!
We wanted to get a picture of our family at the wedding, but it was crazy and we went home before we remembered to get one. So this is later that night.

BIG STEP

Well, We have entered a whole new chapter in our life. Kolsen took his first steps a few days ago. I was sitting on the floor playing with him as he was walking along the couch, when he let go and took 3 steps to me. I had no idea that he could do that yet and I just sat there in shock for a minuet. After taking it in, I stood him up on the other couch to see if he would do it again and he took another 3 steps over to our love sack. I yelled cause I was so excited and scared him which made him fall over. We both laughed and I immediately called Jason. He has done it a few times since then, but he is still trying to figure out that he needs to move his feet before he tries to move forward. He leans forward and gets ahead of himself and stumbles to us. We have tried to get it on the video camera, but he doesn't perform when we want him to. He gets that from his dad. We were so excited and then the thought hit us that when he starts walking, next comes running. Which means I will never sit down again. O well, it will get me in shape I guess.
