Joe's Farm Grill

So A few days ago my Parents took us to a really good and fun restaurant in Gilbert. It is called Joe's Farm Grill. The food was amazing because it was an old BARN that they turned into a restaurant. Everything they cooked was fresh from the ground and tasted wonderful. You also got to eat it outside on picnic tables but it still felt like a nice restaurant. It was a win win situation. Kolsen got to run around and play and we got to eat our meals in peace. Then they let you walk along a path and look at there rows of crop. It also worked out really good because at the end of the farm there was a school with a playground that was open so we let Kolsen play for a little while. Actually we ALL played as you can see from the pictures. It was a lot of fun and a really GOOD family activity. Everyone brought their kids and let them run around together. Definitely a must try!!!

Callie thinks she can walk everywhere now. No more crawling and dirty knees!!!

Callie and Kolsen... What Else???

So I haven't posted in forever and though I would do some updates.

Callie is getting so big it makes me want to cry every day. It is so funny being the second child. With Kolsen I was so excited for him to move on to the next big thing but with Callie it seems like it is going way to fast and we are going to miss everything. Anyway, she is walking all over the place now! She stated taking steps a few months ago, but now she is walking everywhere. Here is a little video of the beginning of march when she started. We caught a good wipe out at the end.

Kolsen is growing up to fast too. The nursery people came in and got me on Sunday because Kolsen needed to go potty and they aren't aloud to help. So I went in to the bathroom and saw him at the sink washing his hands. He looked at me and said. I don't need help mom. I'm done. Oh my gosh. I almost lost it in the middle of church!!! I can't believe that he is big enough to not need me anymore. I fought back the tears. Anyways, Here is a cute picture of him and I goofing around with the camera one night and his new favorite nap spot. It is very blurry because I didn't want to wake him up with the flash.

Memories

OK so for those of you who didn't know Jason and I in high school, here is a little insight behind this post.

In high school Jason drove around in a very interesting car. We called it
" THE COW CAR".

It was a 1986 Toyota Tercel... Had faded cow seat covers (hence the name the COW CAR) which became a yucky brown color... The rear view mirror was held on with a rubber band that would brake from time to time because it would get brittle from the sun...It had only one side mirror until Jason broke it off while trying to scare me by driving to close to a barricade (A good I told you so moment for Me!)...The roof was falling apart on your head and when it did you would inhale all the dust from the lining(Which we will probably get cancer from)...AND Because it was so old, it broke down every other weekend. Which looking back is a blessing because Jason is very good at fixing cars now!

At first I was so embarrassed to be seen in the thing, but slowly I started to really come to love it and it made me get over my fear of what other people thought of me. We have so many good memories in that car. Some of which consist of driving it through the desert and almost getting it stuck and high centered on a hill because we thought we could make it over and jump it. Another was cramming our Friends in it to drive from seminary to school. One day we fit 9 of us in it with 5 in the back and 4 in the front. Which in a normal car would have been fine, but it was a VERY SMALL car. But, I think the best one was that it had no shocks, so when you rocked your body back and forth the car would rock up and down like it had hydraulics. Whenever we would pull up to a car in the high school parking lot that was all decked out and had good hydraulics we would "bump" our car up and down and make everyone laugh. Then when we would dive it down the street and do the same thing we could actually get it JUMPING off the ground. It was hilarious. I have several pictures of it but they are packed in storage so I can't show you but I hope you get the picture. Even now as I write our memories it makes me laugh.
Anyway, to the point of my post... I found this letter the other day as I was going through my paperwork to file and it made us laugh for a while. Not only does it bring back memories of our little car, but the way Jason words his letters always made me laugh. He was is so creative and I never knew what I would get next. Here it is.

Dry Ice

So we played around with Dry Ice the other night and Kolsen has a blast! What is it about fog that is so fascinating?

Prescott Here We Come

Jason had the day off yesterday, so at about 12:00 we decided to go to Prescott and play in the snow. There wasn't much snow but it was so nice to get out of town with our kids and just play all day. We played in the snow, went to a mall and we let them ride some of the rides there, play at a playground, and we went to an arcade. We just went to the arcade to look around and see what there was, but as we were walking I looked down at Kolsen and he had something in his hand. I opened it up to find 3 tokens. I have no idea where he found them but we couldn't see anyone looking for lost coins so we decided to let him play some games with them. We let him play a game where you drop your coin in and whatever slot it lands in you get that many tickets. In 3 tries he won 27 tickets. My little 2 1/2 yr old won 27 tickets at an arcade! How fun. So we let him pick out a prize and then we headed home. It was a fun and relaxing trip!

The Car Ride

Rides at the MALL

Playground (We couldn't get many pictures of Kolsen because he wouldn't hold still long enough)

(Callie loved this tunel and wouldn't let anyone else go through it. She would just crawl back and forth and giggle the whole way)

Throwing a snowball at dad in the parking lot

My First Pig Tails

Well, my baby is growing up and getting hair. We finally can do pig tails and other hair styles. She fights me the entire time. But it is testing me to see how quick I can be. Here are some cute pictures of her. Also she is almost walking. She is standing up on everything and has taken a few steps here and there, but she is so into jumping right now that as soon as she gets on her feet she is bouncing away until her bum hits the ground again. I haven't caught it on video yet, but there is a cute picture mid bounce. She jumps so high sometimes the she gets air. She has been so much fun and I can't believe how fast her and Kolsen are growing.

There's not a lot, but it can get CrAzY!!!

Here are the many lovely Hair-do's of Callie.

Christmas outfits

These are pictures of the kids Christmas outfits. The lighting was horrible in our house and we couldn't get the timer on our camera to work, so we didn't get any family pictures. But here are some of the kids.

IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!

It has been so long since I have posted anything I don't even know where to begin. So I will start back with Christmas. We had a good and very humble Christmas this year and I really enjoyed it. Kolsen was so excited about Santa and he understood that Santa comes when you sleep because when we woke him up on Christmas morning I asked him what day it was and his response was:

Kolsen: Santa been here.

I was expecting him to say Christmas or something like that but he just kept talking about Santa. We got it on video too. He had a lot of fun opening his presents and Callie just liked to steal all the presents he got and eat them. She had no desire to rip the paper. What a girl! Well, here are some pictures from that morning. The video is dark to start with but you can see him at the end. I just like to hear what he says. We didn't want to turn the lights on and blind him that early!

All of our pictures look like this because when we said "Look at the camera" he wouldn't take his eyes off the tree full of presents! It was so cute!

Surprisingly one of his favorite gifts. He loves to play games with us and he is so good at matching them up.

Callie got her first baby doll.

This was the best gift for her. She sucked on them all day long!

Still got the Bow
