It's Shower Time!!!

Craziness is here and will continue for the next few months. I just did a bridal shower on Saturday for my cousin EMILY who is getting married in November and them we are doing one in December for Kim. So we have had lots to do and it has been a blast. Here are some pictures from the shower. I had fun making a towel cake. The picture looks like it's leaning but it is just the shadow on the ribbon. There is also sparkling cider down the middle that is hard to see. They are so much fun and they make beautiful center pieces. It was a lot of fun and we had a really good turn out so everything went really smooth. Then today we had a party for my family cause we have so many birthdays in October. We celebrated my dad's, brother in law Spencer's, my Grandma Richardson's, and Kim's (which is in September but we didn't do one for her yet). It was fun and it is always nice to get together with family!

WOW HOW THE WEEKS FLY!

Well, a lot has happened in our lives in the past few months. Where do I begin? Well, to start my cousin Jaci had her baby about a month ago now and I told her I would watch her daycare kids for 3 weeks so she could get a break and enjoy her family and the new addition. It was a lot of fun, but a lot of work. I don't know how people can do daycare. It is one of the busiest jobs I have had and is emotionally draining to. It probably wouldn't have been as bad if I only had a few, but I had 6. It is just a little overwhelming all at once. It also didn't help that I was throwing up all the time and they couldn't figure out why I kept running to the bathroom. Kolsen loved it though and they were all really good kids so they made it fun. Anyways, on Thursday night after the kids had left I started bleeding pretty bad from over working myself and Jason and I got a little worried. I didn't have anything like that with Kolsen so I called the doctor and they got me in the next day to be checked out. Everything looked fine and the baby was healthy and bigger than we thought so I was relieved but they told me that I had to go on a light bed rest for the next two week and then they want to see me again. It was all a little scary and really shook me up. I only had the bleeding for a few days after that and it is completely gone now so I am sure everything is OK but on Saturday I had a complete meltdown. Has anyone else gone through that? I was throwing up all day, (which has not slowed down yet), I was drained from the scary weekend, and was exhausted from 3 weeks of daycare. So I laid in bed all day, cried my eyes out and now I feel much better. I think my body had just had enough and once I had the chance to release it all I was able to start feeling better. Anyway, enough of my sob story... Here is a picture of the daycare kids (not all of them).

Well that is how I am doing. Jason and Kolsen are doing great. Jason is just busy working and going to school and Kolsen is still working on talking. I don't know what his deal is. He can do anything you ask him to so I know he understands me, but no words yet. Hopefully they will come soon.

LABOR DAY REUNION AND SEVERAL BIG ANNOUNCEMENTS

ANNOUNCEMENT #1

They are finally engaged!!! Cameron proposed about a week ago and they have set their date for Jan 5Th. They are very excited and are planning away. So what is she now, my sister or sister in-law???

And this is the ring. We couldn't get a good picture of it, but it is beautiful! Her and my uncle Danny designed it together.

ANNOUNCEMENT #2

READY OR NOT BABY #2 IS ON THE WAY. It is a little unexpected, but we are really excited about our new addition to the family. The funny thing is the baby is due on April 30Th, which is Kolsen's birthday. I don't think I will make it that long, but that is too ironic. The other bad part is that the morning sickness has already started and is a lot worse than Kolsen. But I guess you have to take the bad with the good and try to see the positive side. I will start losing weight if I keep it up much longer. Other than that we are doing good and had a fun time camping at our Labor Day Family Reunion. We got lots of rain which kept things cool and played lots of fun games and hung out with our family. Kolsen had fun a usual. If he is outside he is good and can keep him self entertained. It was wonderful. Also Jason and Jeremiah played in the horse shoe tournament and almost won it. They did an awesome job! Here are some pictures and a cute video.

Jason and Jeremiah got 3rd place in horse shoes.

The wonderful faces of camping

Kolsen found Shane's car and decided to sit on it. It was a cool remote control car!

Daddy's Little Helper

Kolsen has been so cute lately. He is in the copying stage and has to do whatever you are doing. Whether it is laughing, doing your hair, cooking, or anything that daddy does outside. We just recently bought him his own lawn mower so he could help Jason and he does such a good job. It was the cutest thing I have ever seen! Oh yeah and he doesn't have a shirt on because he got really dirty from dinner and still needed a bath so we just took it off. He is getting such a big belly! Here is the video and some pictures.

THE BIGGEST BUG EVER!!!

OK I HAVE TO ADMIT I AM A WUSS WHEN IT COMES TO BUGS, BUT THIS ONE WAS SERIOUSLY HUGE. THIS MONSTER WAS IN OUR ENTRY WAY ABOVE OUR DOOR. JASON SAID IT WAS A MONARCH MOTH. "YEAH RIGHT, I'VE NEVER SEEN ANY MOTHS THAT BIG." I KNOW YOU CAN'T TELL HOW BIG IT IS, BUT IT WAS ABOUT THE SIZE OF MY HEAD. OK THAT WAS AN EXAGGERATION. IT WAS ABOUT THE SIZE OF MY HAND, BUT THAT IS STILL BIG FOR A BUG. ANYWAY, I MADE JASON GET IT DOWN AND IT DIDN'T EAT US SO WE ARE ALL OK. IT WAS FUNNY BECAUSE IT WAS THERE ON THE SAME NIGHT I HAD ACTIVITY DAY WITH OUR CHURCH GIRLS SO I GOT TO SHOW ALL OF THEM MY GROSS BUG. JUST THOUGHT I WOULD SHARE. GROSS!

I am so excited for the journey they have ahead. Enjoy your little boy Branden and Jen, and know how much we love you and are glad that you are in our lives! The Fohawk

Kolsen got to stay with our family's this weekend while we went out of town and I think they had a little to much fun! I stole this off Rachel's blog
(I hope that was ok Rachel.) Thank you to both family's for all that you do for us. We are so lucky to have you both so close to us and to know that you are so willing to help when we need you. I know Kolsen had a lot of fun and love's you very much. Thank you!!!

FINALLY A VACATION!!!

Well. I have good news and bad news. The good news is that Jason and I got to go on a vacation this weekend to California and we had a wonderful time. The bad news is that we didn't take any pictures so I don't have any to post. Sorry, but there was no way I was going to take a picture of myself in a swim suit. Anyway, we had a wonderful time. We stayed by the LAX airport at the Sheraton Hotel and were only a few minuets from Santa Monica pier. We spent a lot of time on the beach, which my husband is not to happy about now cause he got fried. It was awesome because we got there on Friday at about 11:00 and there was only a couple people on the beach. We had it all to our selves for about a mile both ways. It was beautiful! We also did a lot of shopping. There is a really good outside mall called the "3rd Street Promenade" that I love. It is about 3-4 blocks of the street that they closed down and turned into shopping and entertainment. They have street performers, a farmers market and all kinds of fun things to do. I love it. We also went to the pier and played at the amusement park. Jason played a few carnival games too and won Kolsen a prize. It was a cute dog and he hasn't put it down. Well, that was about all the excitement that we had, but it was so nice to get a way for the weekend and spend some time together. We also almost died a couple of times too. The drivers over there are crazy! Other than that California is the best vacation spot!!!

More Pictures

Here are more pictures of the outfits that Cameron got us from Hong Kong. We all wore them to his home coming talk in church. He did a wonderful job and it was so amazing to hear his testimony in Cantonese. It is very neat that even though you can't tell what he is saying, you can still feel the spirit very strong.

What a Doll! This is my niece, Mallory.

Kolsen got an outfit, I got a blouse, and Jason got a tie. Sorry my eyes are closed. This is the only one we took.

I just thought this was a cute one of our little man!

WELCOME HOME CAMERON

As you all know our brother got home yesterday from his mission in Hong Kong, China. They survived their 14 hr flight with a long layover in the middle and got in safely around 4:30 last night. It was so good to see him again and to see how skinny he was. I think he might be smaller than Jason now and those who remember what he used to look like know how strange that is. We got to spend a lot of time with the family last night and they brought us all back some wonderful gifts. There was some purses, traditional blouses for the sisters (which we are wearing to his homecoming), lots and lots of ties for the boys, jewelry, Cameron got a sword, toothbrushes for the kids and many other things. Cameron also had several funny comments while they were driving home. He said "they ruined it" as he drove down his new paved street filled with houses. It was also weird to him to drive on the freeway and see across the valley. Over there the buildings are so tall that you can't see anything and there are so many people you feel claustrophobic. Well, he is doing great and is glad to be home. He got several calls from china last night from members wanting to say good bye and make sure he got home OK. It was so fun to hear him speak Chinese. It is such an interesting language. Here are some pictures from the airport and I will post more from back at the house a little later. We are glad you are home CAMERON!!!
This was the first hello with an awkward hand shake. You can tell by their faces that they were good sports about it. They just couldn't stop laughing. (I remember that!)

Cameron meeting Kolsen for the first time. After he walked over to everyone else he just kept pointing at him and waving. It was cute!
Kolsen watching for Cameron to come down the hall. I think he was more interested in the cars though.
Just a cute picture of my gorgeous niece.

2 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!

CAMERON COMES HOME IN 2 DAYS! WE ARE ALL SO EXCITED AND CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HIM AGAIN. HE GOT TO CALL US A FEW NIGHTS AGO AND LET US KNOW THAT ALAN AND DEBBIE GOT THERE OK AND THAT THEY WERE HAVING A GOOD TIME. HE SAID THE ONLY BAD PART FOR OUR PARENTS WAS THAT THEY ARE SO USED TO AZ WHERE EVERYTHING IS OPEN AND SPACIOUS AND OVER THERE WHEN YOU WALK DOWN THE STREET, YOU TOUCH EVERYONE AND IT IS VERY CROWDED. THE BUILDINGS ARE ALSO VERY TALL SO THERE IS NO AIR CIRCULATION AND YOU CAN'T SEE WHERE YOU ARE. I AM SURE THAT WILL TAKE SOME GETTING USE TO BUT OTHER THAN THAT THEY ARE DOING AWESOME AND CAMERON IS READY TO COME HOME. WE ARE SO EXCITED TO SEE THE REACTION HE HAS TO HIS NEIGHBORHOOD AND THE AREA AROUND HIS HOUSE. IT HAS CHANGED SO MUCH AND NOW THEY HAVE PAVEMENT. HOLY COW! WELL, OUR OTHER MISSIONARY IS DOING GOOD TOO. TANNER IS KEEPING BUSY AND WORKING HARD. WELL, AS SOON AS THINGS SETTLE DOWN, I WILL POST PICTURES. I AM SURE I WILL HAVE TONS.

Our family is doing good too. We have had a fun and crazy week because we had our friends foster kids stay with us for 7 days while they went out of town. It was fun to have them, but I think it was a little overwhelming for Kolsen. There was a 3 years old boy, a 4 year old boy, and a 7 year old girl. They were all siblings and were very active. I think is was a shock for him to go from no one to 3 other crazy kids. He had fun though.

For those of you who don't know we have decided to do FOSTER CARE. We feel so good about it and know that it is something we are supposed to be doing right now. We have been in our classes for 8 weeks now and have only 2 left. It has been really good for us and has been a big learning experience. After the courses are over it will take about a month for all the paper work to clear through the state and then hopefully we will get a child. It is an exciting time for us and we know it will be a new adventure. well, I hope everyone is doing good and I thought I would share a couple cute pictures of Kolsen that we took a few Sundays ago.

Jason was ironing his shirt and he wanted his tie back on. I thought this was to cute not to take a picture.

Our Newest Missionary

What a good looking guy!!! Well, my brother in law Tanner left on his mission last week. It was hard to say goodbye but we all know that this is what he is suppose to be doing and are very proud of him for the decisions he has made in his life. I know he will be a wonderful missionary and will bring the gospel to many and will change lives. For those who don't know he is serving in the Bannock, Thailand mission. He will be in the MTC (missionary training center) until September then he will be on his way. We send him our best wished and prayers! We love you Tanner and are so proud of you. Also on the other end, Cameron comes home from his mission in China in 3 weeks. We are so excited to see him again and for him to meet Kolsen. He has done an amazing job and has worked so hard. He will probably sound funny for a while because he has a very thick Chinese accent, but it is cute and very interesting to hear. Well, I hope everyone had a good weekend!

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Jason! I want everyone to know what a wonderful guy I married. He is such a good husband. He is always putting me and my needs first, his second and treats me with so much respect. He is also an amazing Dad. Kolsen looks up to him so much already and it is so reassuring to know that if he follows his daddy's example he will be just as wonderful as he is. I love him with all my heart and am so glad that he is
stuck with me for eternity. Thank you Jason for all you do!

I also wanted to tell two very special Dad's in my life how much they mean to me. I have a wonderful dad who has always been there for me and helped me in every way possible to be the person I am today. He is someone I look up to very much and love with all my heart. He is so Strong but knows how to be tenderhearted when we need him to. He also put up with a house full of Girls which is an amazing task it self. He is very aware of us and know the perfect things to say and has been a good priesthood leader in our home. He has taught me to have a true love of the Gospel and has shown me how I should live my life. Thank you Dad. I love you. I also have an amazing Father in law. Alan is such a wonderful person who is loving and an excellent Dad. He has brought his kids up in such a wonderful home and has taught them to be so respectful of everyone and have a true love of the Gospel. Because of that Jason had become a wonderful man and Father and I can see how much he looks up to him. As do I. Thank you Alan for all you do for our family. HAPPY FATHER'S DAY DAD'S!

Just Another Day!

Wow. It has been a while since I have been on here. Just thought I would let you know that we didn't fall of the face of the earth. We are all doing good. Life is pretty normal and not much is happening. We have had some fun trips to the pool, but Kolsen is to crazy so I don't know how much we will go this summer until we get him in swimming lessons. He gets so excited that he will just jump off the edge into the pool if you don't watch him close. Then when he is in the water he doesn't want to be in any toys, cause he wants to be in the water and if you hold him he squirms until you let him go. He doesn't understand that if you do let go he will sink. Funny kid. Anyway, we are so excited for our brother. Tanner will be leaving in a few weeks to go to the MTC and then to Thailand. He is excited but I am sure he is a little nervous. We wish him the best of luck and know that he will be a great missionary.

CAMPING

We took our little boy camping for the first time last weekend. We went with the Mandile's and Joncas's. It was so much fun and Kolsen loved being out doors. The camp site was up about 30 min outside of Payson at Bear canyon lake. It was beautiful and there were some fun quad trails that we got to ride on and it wasn't to far from the lake. We got to do a little fishing also but that wasn't to kid friendly. All the kids wanted to play in the water and run which you couldn't do cause there was no where to go but into the water. We had so much fun though. I think Kolsen's favorite thing to do was ride the quad. He was scared of it when we turned it on but as soon as we put him on that seat he was all smiles. Well, I hope everyone had a good weekend.

I had to carry a stick or a piece of bark where ever I went!

I had to taste the dirt to make sure it was OK to walk on. Yum!

SIX RANDOM THINGS...

Well, I have been tagged so I guess it is my turn to do 6 Random things about me....

1. When I got pregnant with Kolsen I became allergic to my Wedding Ring and I haven't been able to wear it since. My finger breaks out in a rash and itches really bad. We keep meaning to get it coated with something by my uncle who is a jeweler, but never have time. So it looks like we aren't married.
2. I have had Lasik surgery on my eyes. It was the best thing I have ever done! What an amazing feeling to wake up and be able to see right when you open your eyes. I think people take that for granite.

3. I have been sky diving. When I was 19 years old, me and a bunch of my singles ward friends went to the Mirana airport and jumped out of plane's. I went tandem of course, but what an incredible feeling. My landing was a little hard though. You are suppose to tuck your feet up and let the guy run to stop, but my toes caught and I "superman ed" it on the run way. O well, it was hilarious. I would do it again in a heartbeat! I have it on video somewhere, but I can't find it.

4. I like to play with Kolsen's toys more than he does. He has a few toys that he can't figure out so I take them and try to play with them, but he isn't good at sharing yet.

5. I love naps. I don't get them very often but if I get the chance to take a nap you better believe I am going to take one.

6. I hate milk. The only way I can drink milk is if I flavor it with chocolate or something. I am so against it that I pour it in my cereal and when I go to take a bite, I dump the milk it off my spoon. That way my cereal still gets wet but I don't have to taste it.

GOT MILK???

That was fun! Here are some pictures that Jessica took for Kolsen's 1 year pictures. They turned out way cute! The last picture is one of my first scrapbook page that I did for my grandparents 50th wedding anniversary. Cute huh. Jess helped me.
